Planning a community event, festival, concert, sporting event, race, nonprofit gathering, or private event? CONFIRE EMS is here to help.

We are committed to building meaningful partnerships with residents, community organizations, local agencies, and event organizers. Our goal is to support safe, successful events by providing dependable ambulance standby and on-site medical services while maintaining emergency readiness throughout the communities we serve.

When reviewing your request, we consider expected attendance and crowd size; location and venue accessibility; and appropriate level of medical resources. Depending on your event, recommended coverage may include EMTs, paramedics, ambulances, or a combination of medical resources.

Event Medical Resource Selection

BLS Ambulance: An ambulance staffed with a minimum of two certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and equipped to provide Basic Life Support assessment, treatment, stabilization, and patient transportation.

ALS Ambulance: An ambulance staffed with a minimum of one ICEMA-accredited Paramedic and one EMT and equipped to provide Advanced Life Support assessment, treatment, stabilization, and patient transportation.

A Roving EMT is an EMT deployed as a flexible resource to provide basic life support assessment where it is operationally needed; flexible location based upon event needs.

A Roving Medic is a paramedic deployed as a flexible resource to provide paramedic-level staffing where it is operationally needed; flexible location based upon event needs.

Event Medic Supervisor: An accredited paramedic assigned to provide on-site EMS operational oversight and coordination for a special event or mass gathering. The Event Medic Supervisor serves as the primary EMS supervisory resource for the event, coordinates event medical personnel and resources, supports compliance with the approved Medical Action Plan and facilitates communication and coordination with the 911 EMS system when additional resources or patient transportation are required.

Important: Final medical staffing requirements may be subject to review based on the nature and risk profile of the event, anticipated attendance, event duration, venue characteristics, and applicable CONFIRE EMS operational standards. Additional or different resources may be required when necessary to provide an appropriate level of medical coverage.

By submitting this form, it does not by itself reserve resources or confirm coverage. How far in advance should I request medical coverage?

The earlier you contact us, the more time we have to review your event and coordinate appropriate resources.

Can I request a specific number or type of medical resource?

Yes. You can tell us what resources you would like when submitting your request. Our team will review your request and work with you to determine whether the requested coverage is appropriate for your event.

Is submitting a request a guarantee that resources will be available?

No. Requests are reviewed based on event needs, resource availability, and the need to maintain adequate 911 emergency response coverage throughout the communities we serve.

What happens after I submit my request?

Our team will review your event information and contact you if additional details are needed.

What if my event details change after I submit my request?

Contact us as soon as possible at 844-RESPOND. Changes to attendance, event hours, location, activities, or other event details may affect the medical coverage needed.

What happens if someone has a medical emergency during the event?

On-site medical personnel can evaluate and provide care within their level of certification. When additional emergency resources or transportation are needed, personnel will coordinate the appropriate response.
